The Anchorage Assembly is set to take public testimony on a 3% sales tax proposal at its meeting next week. The new revenue would be distributed evenly into three main buckets: lowering property taxes, paying for more public safety and infrastructure projects, and improving the city’s worsening issues with housing and child care. |
