It began with the cutest Christmas greeting I received that year. Three adorable little angels grinned at me from the front of a semicircular die-cut card. Although I did not routinely save my cards from year to year, there was something so charming and unique about this one that I decided to use it as part of my Christmas décor the following season.
The card came from one of my dearest friends, Peg. Twenty years older than me, we had become fast pals when I lived in New England. When my husband was transferred to Florida in 1994, Peg promised that she would visit. She came that March for a grown-up spring-break bash. And, like college kids, we stayed up late, went to Disney World and laughed ourselves silly for most of the visit.
