I grew up in a typical family in the ’70s. Mom stayed home, Dad went to work, and my four siblings and I roamed freely on our dead-end street that was packed with other kids to play with. Our days followed a familiar rhythm: out after breakfast, back for lunch, an episode of The Flintstones, and then we were off again until supper. That was just life on our street.
Everyone in the neighbourhood lived a similar way — same income, same lifestyle. Our needs were always met, and often even some of our wants. But there was one thing that set our family apart, something that none of our friends had: Jingle Bells.
