Perhaps I’ve even inspired you to start your own side hustle by now. But just in case you haven’t picked one yet, the simplest side hustle I’d start in 2026 is flipping. The best part is, you don’t need any money to get started. Here’s how: Step One: Sell Stuff Around Your House You No Longer UseThis is exactly how you can start this side hustle with $0. Plus, it’ll make you some fast money. Most people overlook the fact that they have plenty of unused items lying around their house they can sell. You’ll be surprised at how much you can get for them. Selling your old stuff allows you to learn the eBay ropes risk-free, while warming your account up with sales history and positive feedback. Step Two: Reinvest In Better StockNow that you have a bit of money, instead of spending it, the smart thing to do is to reinvest it. By investing in better stock, you can start making bigger profits while selling more often. If you’re in the US, I recommend visiting garage sales or car boot sales if you’re in the UK. Charity/Thrift shops are great places to visit as well. These places often sell products way cheaper than what they sell for online. Generally, you’ll want to look out for stuff that you can list online for at least 50% more than you bought it. You can often list your items for way more than that, but this is the minimum I’d recommend. Step Three: ScaleIt won’t be long before you’ll have a nice bit of profit. This is where your simple side hustle can scale all the way up to $100k and beyond! You can then reinvest your profits once again, but this time, purchase products from a supplier. Once you’re having a bit of success, make sure you keep the snowball rolling.
