Week 51, 15 December to 21 December 2025

National Syndromic Surveillance Summary:

During week 51, syndromic surveillance indicators for acute respiratory infections (ARI) decreased nationally across syndromic systems. ED attendances for influenza-like illness (ILI) decreased across most age groups. GP in hours consultation rates for ILI started to decrease, though rates overall remained above levels expected for the time of year. There were further decreases observed in acute bronchitis or bronchiolitis indicators reported in the ED and GP out-of-hours systems.
