We tore down 2025. Here’s what we found.

In 2025, Right to Repair kept on moving from “idea” to “law.” We finally reached the point of Right to Repair legislation being introduced in all 50 US states. Furthermore, Texas became the first Republican-led state to pass a Right to Repair law (with a jaw-dropping unanimous vote). Meanwhile, in the EU, the Ecodesign regulations for smartphones came into effect.

Working together with partners like Back Market and manufacturers like Logitech and Polaroid, we expanded repair ecosystems. Last but not least, we launched not just several new tools like the Narwhal, but also the iFixit App with FixBot, our AI repair assistant that actually knows how to fix things.

The repair movement isn't slowing down, and neither are we. Before we crack open 2026, here’s a quick look back at what we took apart and fixed this year. View this email in your browser for the best experience.
