Dear Direct Response Letter Subscriber:
I have been loud in my criticism of AI—and especially the danger it poses to human workers, when it takes their jobs.
Turns out that Porter Stansberry, who is a lot smarter than I am, agrees!
In a 12/11/25 email, Porter wrote:
"AI will save the private sector but not you.
"Artificial intelligence will help companies survive inflation.
"But it will do it by displacing millions of people.
"Private sector employment will shrink by double digits every year for at least the next decade.
"Law, accounting, finance, even medicine—white-collar work is being displaced at a speed no one is prepared for.
"And those in government jobs or on fixed pensions?
"They'll be wiped out entirely as deficits and inflation devour their real income."
Porter says AI will save the private sector.
But when people lose their jobs because of AI, who will be able to afford the products these private sector companies are making?
I stand by what I have been saying all along: AI is the end of western civilization as we know it.
Believe it or not.
Regards,
Bob Bly
P.S. According to an article in InvestorPlace Digest (12/11/25), a report from Anthropic found that five AI platforms resorted to blackmail when threatened with being shut down.
The Anthropic report also stated that some of the AI models even chose to shut off the oxygen supply of a worker in a server room when the worker was deemed an obstacle.
