Mace Head on the west coast of Ireland is one of the world’s few stations with unobstructed access to clean, well-mixed Atlantic air.
The site provides long-term greenhouse gas, aerosol and remote-sensing data as part of several international programmes.
As an ICOS station, Mace Head contributes high-quality observations that support harmonised national measurements and help verify Ireland’s greenhouse gas emissions. |
