Texas high school tops PlayVS esports rankings
The Science Academy of South Texas has taken the top spot in the USA TODAY Sports/PlayVS Super 25 esports rankings as the fall season ends and teams prepare for championship matches. The rankings are based on match and game win percentages, and Novi High School in Michigan and Windermere High School in Florida are ranked second and third, respectively.

Ga. high schools send esports teams to state championships
Sol C. Johnson High School and Islands High School are set to compete in the state esports championships in Cartersville, Ga., on Saturday. "It takes not only skill, a lot of skill, especially with a game like Smash, but also a lot of intelligence and game knowledge," says Elijah Felton, a sophomore at Johnson. "It's a really big opportunity, especially with someone like me who loves video games as well as competition."
