Calif. students pack meals for families in Vietnam
More than 200 high-school students in Elk Grove, Calif., packed 20,000 meals for families in Vietnam affected by floods and landslides as part of the international initiative Rise Against Hunger. The event, organized by groups such as the Interact Club and National Honor Society at Laguna Creek High School, aimed to foster community involvement and has inspired students to plan for packing even more meals next year.

The Deer Valley Unified School District in Phoenix has seen a surge in demand for its Mandarin Immersion Program, coinciding with the expansion of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing in the region. The program, which started in 2009, now has 496 students, up from 300 in 2022, and aims to create globally minded students, which educators see as crucial for future job opportunities in the semiconductor industry.

OECD: Cyberbullying rises among European children
Cyberbullying among children and teenagers has increased in all 29 European countries studied, with Lithuania, Latvia, the UK and Ireland among the most affected, according to the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development. AI tutors outperform humans in study
A study by Eedi.com has found that AI tutors, when paired with human oversight and detailed student data, can outperform human tutors alone.
