The study, conducted across two academic centers, involved 271 lesions and showed that the AI achieved a specificity of 60.6% and a sensitivity of 90.5%, marking a potential advancement in breast cancer diagnostics.

A study of more than 84,000 patients found hereditary ovarian cancer genes across diverse populations, supporting the need for inclusive genetic testing. The research, published in the journal Gynecologic Oncology, found germline pathogenic variants in 16.1% of patients, with the highest prevalence among those with Ashkenazi Jewish ancestry, followed by Hispanic and Asian patients.

A study presented at the RSNA conference found long-term exposure to air pollution was associated with more advanced obstructive coronary artery disease on cardiac CT imaging. "The results of this study add to the growing body of evidence that air pollution is a modifiable cardiovascular risk factor and reinforce the need for further research to understand why these associations differ between men and women," said researcher Dr. Kate Hanneman.
