APQC’s latest survey report on organizational productivity is now available, with fresh insights on how productivity is defined and measured today, what’s slowing down work, and where AI is already enhancing work processes and outcomes. 

Here are a few highlights from the survey report: 

• Productivity is still defined mostly through efficiency and innovation, but many teams are measuring it unevenly or not at all.  

• The biggest productivity blockers are familiar: siloed teams, clunky systems, and process or knowledge bottlenecks that slow work down.  

• AI is moving from experiment to enabler, especially where it’s paired with clean processes and findable knowledge. Organizations that see the greatest benefits are using AI to reduce friction in everyday work, not just to automate one-off tasks.
