iza,
I recorded this voice memo yesterday.
I was eating lunch with Ellie at the Red Rose Tavern in Disneyland.

Here’s the transcript:
“When you're a beginner, you need everything spelled out for you in microscopic detail.
People think that the further along you get, the more you have things figured out.
But the opposite is true.
The more you do this, the less you have “the next level” figured out.
But the more comfortable you are with NOT knowing what your exact next step is.
For example, I’ve been a guest on a lot of podcasts recently.
They text me an address and a time.
The rest of it, I figure out.
I don’t ask a single question about basic logistics.
VS some people who want to be interviewed on my show for the “100 Case Studies” project I am doing, feel the need to have my team spell out every logistical thing for them.
“How do I get there? Should I Uber? What should I wear? Who else will be there?”
It’s not a knock on them, actually.
Although I know it seems that way.
It's just the difference between a beginner/intermediate business owner vs. someone who's been doing this for a really long time.
Get comfortable not knowing every single detail of every next step.”
Trust me, iza, the best advice I can give you is this:
At some point, if you want to be really successful, you have to be able to build the plane as you’re flying it.
And I’m here to tell you, you will be okay.
And it’s going to be great!
Love you,
Maria
