Mallee mine closes: Murray Zircon has confirmed mining operations at its Mindarie Mineral Sands Project have closed, as all resources at the site have been extracted as planned and approved. Infrastructure at the site will also be removed and stored for potential future use as part of that process. Murray Zircon returned to mining at the site in South Australia's Mallee in July 2023, after previous work ceased in 2015.
