The leaves aren’t the only thing changing this fall — TJ’s lower field is getting new turf!
Thomas Jefferson Park lower turf field has reached the end of its lifespan and is due for a replacement. Starting in November, we’ll be replacing the existing synthetic turf, updating the infill, and restriping/repainting the field.
Construction is expected on or after November 17. During the project, there may be parking impacts and temporary restrictions in the lots nearest the lower field to allow for construction access and equipment. Please follow posted signs and give yourself extra time when visiting the park.
We anticipate the project will be completed in early February 2026. Once complete, we’ll have a beautiful new field ready to welcome athletes, families, and friends back to play.
