Dear Woodson Families,

Congratulations to all our students and their families on successfully completing the first quarter! We’ve seen incredible effort, learning, and achievement across the board — and we have so much to celebrate.

Last week, our Environmental Club represented Woodson at the FCPS State of Schools event and then later in the week, planted 40 new trees on our campus. Thanks to a grant partnership with Casey Trees, our students planted a variety of young trees — each with its own creative name — truly putting the “Woods” in Woodson! 

Our performing arts programs also continue to shine. Members of Woodson Drama performed at the Virginia Thespians Conference, with several students auditioning for colleges and receiving talent scholarships on the spot. Meanwhile, our Woodson Drama Department received multiple awards (listed below) — congratulations to these talented students and directors for their outstanding work!
