Officers responded for a report of a larceny in progress. The reporting party stated that an unknown male subject was concealing items. Officers observed the suspect exit the store with the merchandise and detained him. Robert Johnson, 52, of Falls Church was issued a Virginia Uniform Summons for Petit Larceny and informed of his pending City of Fairfax General District Court date. (2025-16253)

Officers responded for a report of a reckless driver. Officers observed the suspect vehicle proceed past several unloading school buses and initiated a traffic stop once it was safe. Investigation revealed the driver was under the influence. Ramon Robles Navarrete, 28, of Manassas was arrested and transported to Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he was charged with Second DUI within 10 Years. Robles Navarrete was held on no bond. (2025-16257)

Officers responded for a report of a larceny. The reporting party stated that during the overnight hours, persons unknown entered their vehicle and stole a firearm. There were no signs of forced entry. The Patrol Operations Division is investigating. (2025-16294)


Unlawful Entry Arrest

Officers responded for the report of a suspicious person in an office building. The reporting party stated that an unknown male had entered a secured work area and left when confronted. Officers located the subject nearby. Drain Short, 63, of Washington D.C. was arrested and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he was charged with Unlawful Entry. The reporting party stated that during the overnight hours, an unknown male pulled the locked front lobby doors open, took food items, and left the business without rendering payment. No damaged was reported. Officers identified the subject and obtained a warrant for Burglary, Petit Larceny, and Wearing a Mask to Conceal Identity. On November 1st Fairfax County Police arrested Matthew Vernon, 45, of No Fixed Address and transported him to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he was served his three warrants. Vernon was held on no bond. (2025-16474)

DUI Arrest

Fairfax Blvd. /Oak St. 

November 2, 2025 • 8:50 p.m.

An officer conducting traffic enforcement observed a vehicle operating at a high rate of speed and conducted a traffic stop. The investigation revealed that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. Nahom Tumalisan, 36 of Fairfax was arrested and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he was charged with DUI and reckless driving. Tumalisan was held until he was deemed sober. (2025-16594)
