We want to share our thanks to our entire community for a wonderful first quarter of the 2025 - 26 school year! Culminating it with our very creative and fun Costume Day was the perfect ways to celebrate our students while continuing to support our high standards and expectations. We could not do this positive work without our community.
Last week 2nd grade parents were invited in to a writing share event and many of our 1st graders enjoyed using estimation skills to guess how many candy corn were in the jar.  Our 5th & 6th graders had a fantastic time at the SCA Fall Social!
Schools are closed on Monday, November 3rd and Tuesday, November 4th. During this time, teachers will be completing first quarter grading/report cards, conferencing with parents, receiving professional development, and planning engaging instruction for the 2nd quarter. We look forward to seeing all of our lions back, recharged and ready to go, on Wednesday, November 5th.
Wishing you a wonderful week, and don't forget to vote, if eligible, in Tuesday's election!

We have several awesome parents who have volunteered to coach Science Olympiad this year, which is open to students in grades 3-6. All students in grades 3-6 had a flyer in their Wednesday folder about Science Olympiad, highlighting that the interest meeting will be held on Thursday, November 6 at 7:00 on Zoom. RSVP by November 5 and the Zoom link will be emailed to you.  Contact scienceolympiadlres@gmail.com with any questions!
Coat Drive: THANK YOU to everyone who donated gently used/new coats and winter gear for our annual Coat Drive! Everything has been washed and sorted, and we will be dropping off everything on Monday to our partner school.
Kindergarten Bedtime Stories: We're excited for our "Kindergarten (& Preschool) Bedtime Stories" on Thursday, November 6 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the library! This is a cuddly evening in our pajamas with special guest readers and relaxing yoga, with free popcorn and water for everyone. This special event is for our kindergarten and preschool students and their families. Please RSVP here: Bedtime Story Night
Helping Hands: Please keep your eyes open for future communications from the PTA, as we are currently brainstorming ways to help the most vulnerable in our community as government aid lessens throughout the shutdown. We hope to have actionable items up and running soon. If you have any ideas or would like to lend a hand, please let us know!
PTA Meeting: Our next PTA meeting will be on Wednesday, November 12 from 7:00-8:00 p.m., with Mrs. Argue as our featured speaker. Mrs. Argue, our AART, will be talking about the Full-time AAP Program and Application process.
