Girls Flag Football travelled to Edison and West Potomac this week, for three games in two days and despite going 0-3 on the week, the girls continue to get better each outing and look to wrap up an exciting first season tomorrow at Mt. Vernon
Football hosted West Potomac on a cold, Halloween night this Friday, keeping it tight in the first half before establishing full control of the game in the second half.  Junior quarterback Drew Miller continued to throw the ball all over the county and Junior wide receiver Thomas Powell had a break-out game to lead the team to a 20-7 win.
Girl's Volleyball wrapped up their season this week, traveling to Woodson for a regional play-in game.  The girls gave it their best effort but came up short in the loss to end their post-season run.
On Tuesday the Boy's Volleyball team hosted West Potomac in the district quarterfinals, controlling all but the second set to earn a convincing 3-1 victory.  In the semifinal game a much improved Alexandria City came to the South County gym and gave the Stallions all they could handle.  Each set was back and forth, culminating in a thrilling 5th set that saw the home team edge out AC to advance to the Finals on Monday at West Springfield.
The South County hosted their annual Halloween Masquerade Concert this week, joining forces with all schools within the pyramid to put on a masterpiece of music!  Elementary, Middle and High School musicians took the stage and put on an amazing performance.  Be on the lookout for the next show!

Concession Stand Volunteers
We are excited for the Fall sports season and we NEED your help! In order for us to keep our concession stand up and running we need volunteers to assist us on game nights. The revenue generated through concessions serves as the SCHS Athletic Booster Club's primary source of funding. The money earned goes right back to the sports teams to cover the costs of equipment, uniforms, and more! Any family can volunteer! You do not need to have a student participating in Sports to make an impact! Visit the link below and consider helping us out one night! Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
