As an update to Radio World's previous coverage of this story, Philadelphia's public media outlet WHYY(FM/TV) agreed to raise funds to cover operating costs rather than requiring Penn State University's WPSU(FM/TV) to pay a $17.6 million stipend. As a result, Emily Reddy, WPSU's news director, said her team was “happy that it looks like public media is going to exist in central Pennsylvania.”
