State finals season is underway
It seems like the fall sports season just started, but the boys and girls golf seasons already are done. The IHSA held its boys and girls golf state tournaments this weekend downstate.
Boys golf
Boys golf: York eclipses Hersey for third place in Class 3A
Oct 11, 2025 8:22 pm - Area teams are bringing home some hardware at the boys’ state golf championships, which concluded Saturday in Bloomington and Normal.
York finished third in Class 3A, Wheaton Academy finished third in Class 2A, while Hersey finished fourth in Class 3
Girls tennis held their conference tournaments over the weekend.

The Corsairs (5-2) became playoff eligible with a convincing 54-14 victory over defending Class 4A champion DePaul College Prep.
