A Lion's Tale

Counts

Greetings Laurel Ridge Families,

It was wonderful to see so many of your supporting the Scholastic Book Fair and in attendance at our Fall into Reading: Literacy Night.  Hopefully, you learned some fun games and activities to try at home to support your child’s growth in literacy skills.

Now that the weather has become more seasonable, it is not unusual for our students to need a jacket in the morning but not in the afternoon.  If your child has come home without their outerwear, please remind them to check the Lost & Found at the bottom of the stairs by the cafeteria.  It is also helpful if you label items so that we can return them when found.

Next week’s schedule includes a student holiday on Monday, October 13th and a 3-hour Early Release on Wednesday, October 15th.  Next week will close out with some fun community activities including the Robinson Homecoming Parade on Friday afternoon and PTA’s Trunk or Treat on Saturday.

Finally, Laurel Ridge prides itself on being a caring community.  If you would like to celebrate a staff member for going above and beyond with kindness, please submit an FCPS Cares.  It warms our hearts to hear the amazing things that are happening every day.

Have a wonderful weekend.
