The Massachusetts Institute of Technology turned down the Trump administration’s “Compact for Academic Excellence in Higher Education” on Friday. It's the first school to reject the funding deal. MIT President Sally Kornbluth said in a letter to Trump administration officials “we cannot support the proposed approach to addressing the issues facing higher education.” Learn more about the deal here.
