- Thursday, October 31| End of First Quarter, Two (2) Hour Early Release, dismissal at 1:55 pm

No-Cost Meals Available for Students on October 13
We’re excited to share that our school will be offering lunch and a snack at no cost to children aged 18 and under on Monday, October 13. As a reminder, all FCPS schools will be closed for students and school staff on October 13 in observance of Indigenous Peoples’ Day. Here’s what you need to know:

Lunch and a snack will be served together from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Meals must be eaten on site at participating schools.

Enrichment activities will be available for children. Participation is encouraged but not required.

Only children 18 and under may receive meals.

Each child may receive one lunch and one snack.
We are proud to support our students’ health and well-being, even on days when school is not in session. We hope that many of our families will take advantage of this opportunity. If you have questions, please contact the Office of Food and Nutrition Services at 703-813-4800.

Rock N Run 2025 is almost here!

Stratford Landing Dolphins get ready for Rock N Run on Friday, October 24, 2025!
The Rock N Run Pep Rally will take place at school on the morning of Friday, October 17th.
Rock N Run donations will also begin on October 17th. Race Day schedule is as follows:
9:45-10:15 AM. - Kindergarten, 1st grade, Pre-K (AM/Full Day)
10:30-11:00 AM - 6th Grade
11:15-11:45 AM - 5th Grade
12:00-12:30 PM - 3rd Grade
12:45-1:15 PM - 2nd Grade, Pre-K (PM)
1:30-2:00 PM - 4th Grade
We need your help! Rock N Run is planned, coordinated and run by parent volunteers like you! Volunteering on Rock N Run day is an amazing experience…seeing all the laughs, smiles and encouragement…it’s something you will never forget.

SLES Fall After School Enrichment Clubs
STEM Club (Computer Coding: Intro to Game Design by STEM ExCEL) will start on Friday, October 17th. Please register as soon as possible so we can communicate to teachers your child’s club schedule.
