Meet The 30 Under 30 Alum Taking On Airbnb
Former teenaged coding entrepreneur John Andrew Entwistle is trying to challenge Airbnb with Wander, his AI-powered luxury rental business. The 27-year-old cofounded the cloud development startup Coder back in 2015, which earned him a place on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list in 2020. Taking advantage of consumers’ steady demand for luxury travel, Wander has impressed investors with software that grants the company control over every facet of home rental—from security to pest control. “I want to know exactly what each home is doing from a performance perspective,” Entwistle tells Forbes. “And then I want the system to automatically flag anything to me on a per-home basis.”
