It was with an emotional “Vive le Québec” from Premier François Legault that the Coalition Avenir Québec government presented its long-awaited constitution, The Gazette's Phil Authier reports.
The preamble of the bill states the legislation, which will be subject to public hearings, “defines the Quebec nation and establishes its attributes and collective rights.”
But opposition parties have continued to argue that the process was flawed, voting against the very presentation of the bill.
