A letter from our editor:
Life has looked a little different in our home lately. This past summer, my husband and I welcomed a baby girl, and with her comes a tiny wardrobe, toys and gadgets, and so many blankets. Our two-bedroom house suddenly feels full, and I’m learning what matters most in our space.
Simplicity is everything. Minimal books and toys, a soft neutral palette, and baskets for the small things (pacifiers, tummy-time toys, lotions, brushes) keep our home calm yet lived-in. Little rituals help too: gentle music during dinner, a diffuser by her crib, and soft evening lighting. Practical items, such as the bottle washer on the counter and diaper caddies in each room, just make sense. Being intentional about what we bring in and give away keeps our home warm, nurturing, and sustainable — and has made this new season of life feel peaceful rather than chaotic.
Whether you’re expecting or simply looking for a sense of groundedness with little ones around, here are some of my favorite tips and resources for creating a calm and happy home.

DIY
One of my favorite DIY projects since welcoming our daughter has been to frame postcards from the places we visit together.
