Jen Psaki here. It feels like there never is enough time, in light of the historic damage being done by the Trump administration, to talk about the party out of power. But there are big questions that Democrats are grappling with right now, from who should lead, to what issues should be front and center and which fights are worth fighting right now. There are new voices and new faces and powerful movements rising up across the country.
I am excited to launch my newsletter The Blueprint that is focused on bringing you more information about all of those questions every week.

At the same time, we are kicking off Season 2 of The Blueprint podcast. (You can listen to the new trailer right now!) Last season, I dug into what the heck happened in November and now it’s time to look forward.
I’ll start each episode with an unfiltered conversation with my longtime friend Lis Smith, a leading Democratic strategist. Then I’ll talk with people who are pushing for change and raising the important questions about winning again, including rising stars, like Reps. Greg Casar, of Texas, who chairs the progressive caucus, and Sarah McBride, of Delaware, the first transgender person elected to Congress, and potential presidential candidates like Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear.
To kick us off, the first two episodes drop Wednesday, Oct. 15, featuring Jennifer Welch and Angie “Pumps” Sullivan of the I’ve Had It podcast. We’ll chat in person on Saturday, Oct. 11, in New York City at MSNBC Live ‘25. Subscribers can listen to the conversation online just days later.
