 On Friday, September 26, 2025, we hosted our first Parent Coffee of the 2025-2026 school year. We welcomed families for a conversation around technology. Ms. Ireland, our amazing School-Based Technology Specialist, shared information about Schoology and ParentVUE. Parents were engaged, asked thoughtful questions, and left with helpful tips to support their children’s learning at home.
Our 2nd graders are exploring butterflies as part of FCPS’s Grade 2 science unit on growth, change, and survival. They are learning about the butterfly life cycle and how animals use adaptations like camouflage to survive. To bring this to life, students colored their own butterflies and camouflaged them around the classroom—discovering how tricky it can be to spot creatures hiding in plain sight! Amazing instruction in math and literacy is happening at Annandale Terrace! Last week, Ms. April Cage, Executive Principal of Region 6, visited our Kindergarten and 1st-grade classrooms to see our students engaged in hands-on learning, problem-solving, and rich literacy experiences that build confidence and curiosity. A huge thank you to Ms. Cho, Ms. Pezzuti, Ms. Guevarra, Ms. McCall, and Ms. Aldhobhani for welcoming Ms. Cage into your classrooms.
 You are invited to attend a PTA sponsored Movie Night on 10/10@6:30pm at ATES field. The movie “Monsters University” will be featured at 7:00pm sharp and it is completely free! PTA will be selling Pizza, drinks, etc. during the movie. You can pre-order your pizza by filling out this survey form (https://forms.gle/cdphnREgDDjps2cn9). Your cooperation will help us to estimate the number of pizzas we need to pre-order. You will be paying the pizza (s) at Movie Night. All the proceeds will be donated to ATES PTA.
