As we settle into the rhythm of the school year, the Forestville PTA is proud to reflect on the incredible momentum we’ve already built together. Guided by our three core values — Appreciation, Innovation, and Community — we are working to create meaningful experiences that support our students, teachers, and staff in ways that truly reflect the heart of Forestville.
This fall, we kicked things off with our Fun Run, where students not only raised funds for our school but also learned valuable lessons in teamwork, perseverance, and goal-setting from the Boosterthon staff. The energy was electric, and the smiles were contagious — a perfect blend of fun and purpose.
We also hosted our beloved Fall Carnival, a night that brought together over 1,000 members of our school community for games, cotton candy, popcorn, and friendship. It was a beautiful reminder of the joy that comes from simply being together. A heartfelt thank you to the 80+ volunteers who made this event possible — your time, energy, and enthusiasm were the backbone of its success.
We’re also thrilled to share that over 100 families and staff have joined the PTA this year. Your support strengthens our ability to make a lasting impact, and we’re so grateful to have you with us.
As we look ahead, we’re excited about where this year will take us. With appreciation for all who contribute, a spirit of innovation in our programming, and a deep commitment to community, we know the best is yet to come.
Thank you for being part of this journey — let’s keep the momentum going!

This past weekend, nine hardworking Cub Scouts rolled up their sleeves to help keep our neighborhood clean. Together, they dedicated their time to picking up litter along Utterback Store Road, right by Forestville Elementary School.
Armed with gloves, bags, and plenty of scout spirit, the Cubs collected trash and debris to make the area safer and more welcoming for everyone. Their efforts not only improved the look of the community but also showed the true meaning of service, teamwork, and pride in caring for our environment.
A big thank-you to these scouts and their leaders for setting such a great example of citizenship and community service. Forestville is a better place because of their hard work! If you are interested in joining Cub Scouts please email: pack55greatfallsva@gmail.com.
