A message from Principal Steven McFarlane

It’s hard to believe it’s October! Please continue to review SIS/Schoology with your student, and if you have any questions feel free to contact your student’s teacher.
We hope to see you at our Fall Festival on Thursday, October 16th from 2:30-4:40 PM. If you’re able, please consider volunteering. You can sign up/learn more by emailing president@kilmerpta.org. We will have inflatables, a live DJ, food trucks, concessions, and a photo booth to capture all the fun memories. The event is free, but the food trucks are not, so remember to bring cash. I will communicate with students next week that if they are going to the Festival they need to report directly there after school, or if they head home they’ll need to come back with an adult. Students will not be allowed to leave campus and then reenter the Festival without an adult.

October 9 - Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology Information Night
- All 8th grade students interested in applying to Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology are invited to a one hour presentation by a TJHSST representative on Thursday, October 9 at 5:00 pm in the Kilmer Cafeteria. Most of the session will be dedicated to Q&A, so we encourage families to review admissions information on the TJHSST website beforehand. If you have questions about this event, please contact your student’s counselor. Science and Technology Information Session, 5:00 pm in the Kilmer Cafeteria
