A message from Principal Steven McFarlane

Kilmer Community,

It’s hard to believe it’s October! Please continue to review SIS/Schoology with your student, and if you have any questions feel free to contact your student’s teacher.

We hope to see you at our Fall Festival on Thursday, October 16th from 2:30-4:40 PM. If you’re able, please consider volunteering. You can sign up/learn more by emailing president@kilmerpta.org.  We will have inflatables, a live DJ, food trucks, concessions, and a photo booth to capture all the fun memories. The event is free, but the food trucks are not, so remember to bring cash. I will communicate with students next week that if they are going to the Festival they need to report directly there after school, or if they head home they’ll need to come back with an adult. Students will not be allowed to leave campus and then reenter the Festival without an adult.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend. As always, reach out if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Steven McFarlane

Principal

Positive Referrals

Here are just a few of the Positive Referrals received by our Kilmer Cougars from staff members this week!

Grant K. - Grant has a great attitude in class. He is eager to learn, ask questions about the topic, and volunteers his ideas. He is a great role model for his peers. Keep it up, Grant!

Mia R. - Ms. Schnuda and I are so proud of YOU! Thank you for coming to math class prepared, ready to learn, and with a big smile and positive attitude! We enjoy seeing you engaged in math activities and working well with your peers.

Maria F. - Maria was the first to arrive at our P1 English class.  Without being asked, she started to take chairs from the stacks and put them at desks, so her classmates can arrive ready to learn.  This was great initiative and I'm proud of Maria.

Lulu A. - Lulu, thank you for always coming to math class prepared and ready to learn! I appreciate your kindness, positive attitude, desire to learn, and also working so well with your peers on the white boards! Very proud of you!

David C.J. - Thank you for consistently offering to help your peers. I appreciate you lending a pencil and your computer charger to your friends. Keep it up, David!
