Odyssey of the Mind sign-up ends today!
 Do you have a student who loves creating? Building? Performing? Odyssey of the Mind (OM) is for them! We are looking for more students from *all grades* to sign up so we can form teams and get this exciting program started.
Parents and guardians: We also need coaches!

Hangry Burger Restaurant Night - Wednesday, October 8
 Conquer your hunger and help support the PTA! Join us at Hangry Burger (6699 Frontier Dr.) between 4pm - 6pm on Wednesday October 8 and 20% of sales will go towards helping the PTA fund field trips, programming, and more!
Walk, Bike, Roll to School Day - Wednesday, October 8
 Volunteers needed to help ensure the route is blocked off and safe for the kids to get to the school. The starting point will be the New Life Church on Trin Street. We will need people on Old Rolling Road, Brookland Road and Westchester Street. See the signup here Volunteer Signup!
Fall Festival - Saturday, October 25
 Our annual Fall Festival is Saturday October 25th 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
We need your help to make the Fall Festival Fantastic! All ideas, talents, and energy are welcome! To join our Fall Festival planning committee, please email ptabushhillelementary@gmail.com.

Reflections Art Competition
 The Bush Hill PTA is proud to partner again with VA and National PTA to participate in the Reflections program. Reflections engages students and their families in arts education activities by encouraging students to explore the arts for fun and recognition. Reflections provides an opportunity for students to express their creativity in one of 6 artistic categories:
- Dance Choreography
- Film Production
- Literature
- Music Compositions
- Photography
- Visual Art
The Reflections theme for 2025-2026 is “I Belong.”
HOW IT WORKS
Students submit their work of art, with entry form including artist statement, to Bush Hill PTA's Reflections contest.
Bush Hill PTA will forward one 1st place winning entry in each age division and art category to Fairfax County Council PTA.
Council PTAs select winning entries and submit one 1st place entry from each age division and art category to Virginia PTA, which will select and submit state winning entries to National PTA to compete against students from across the United States! National PTA selects and announces winners of the national-level contest in May.
GRADE DIVISIONS
PRIMARY (PreK-Grade 2)
INTERMEDIATE (Grades 3-5)
MIDDLE SCHOOL (Grades 6-8)
HIGH SCHOOL (Grades 9-12)
ACCESSIBLE ARTS* (All Grades)
*Students who identify as having a disability and may receive services under IDEA or ADA: Section 504 may enter in the Accessible Arts Division or grade division most closely aligned to their functional abilities.
