Last Call: Help Design Arlington's Home Energy Program

Arlington County is currently redesigning a program to help homeowners and renters use less energy, reduce carbon emissions and improve indoor comfort and health. The County seeks your help to develop an energy program that works best for you. Provide your input.

National Drive Electric Month - EV Charge Around Town!

This annual celebration from Sept. 12 - Oct. 14 aims to raise awareness on the benefits of electric vehicles (EVs) and plug-in hybrid vehicles. We will continue showcasing public EV charging stations around the County on X through the end of the "Month". Follow @ArlingtonDES to keep up with our posts and discover where you can charge!

Lubber Run Community Center Solar Panels: Up and Running

Solar panels installed on the roof of the Lubber Run Community Center, through a Power Purchase Agreement with Dominion Energy Solutions, are now fully operational. This photovoltaic system is anticipated to provide an estimated 65% of the Community Center’s electricity needs which equals approximately the annual use of 26 average homes. The Lubber Run solar installation increases the share of local solar generation on the grid, enhances energy resilience and showcases solar applications at a prominent County facility.
