I came out of a three-hour-long judging session for Forbes’ 30 Under 30 food list to news that the legendary Jane Goodall had died at age 91. I was so moved hearing her speak at the Forbes Sustainability Leadership Summit last Monday—as she implored the audience to “have courage”—and especially now I feel truly honored to have heard her message. “If they really feel that it’s important to do the right thing, they need to have courage,” the renowned primatologist said. “This particular time we’re living through, there’s too much lack of courage.” |

IPO Watch: Once Upon A Farm officially filed for an IPO on Monday, as the organic baby food brand cofounded by actress Jennifer Garner wades into a tepid market that has, as Reuters reports, “picked up in recent months, reversing a slowdown earlier in the year when trade-policy uncertainty curbed momentum.” The natural foods leader, helmed by former Annie’s chief executive John Foraker, reported six-month revenue, ending June 30, at $110.6 million, up from $65.8 million the year prior. |
