Volunteers Needed for September Events
Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary will be participating in some upcoming community events where we could use your assistance.
Sanctuary Saturday at Moody Gardens
Volunteers will assist FGBNMS staff in manning an outreach booth to introduce the public to the sanctuary and manta rays. This includes talking to people, giving out information, and helping participants with a tableside activity. Volunteers will help with setting up the booth. This is an indoor event.

Texian Navy Day at Pier 21
Volunteers will assist FGBNMS staff in manning an outreach booth to introduce the public to the sanctuary. This includes talking to people, giving out information, and helping participants with a tableside activity (cornhole, reef-tac-toe, etc.). This is an outdoor event near the water (wind and sun). For this event, volunteers will need to assist in the loading/unloading of a popup tent as well as the setup/takedown of the popup tent.
