Wesley Hoy, a student at the University of Wisconsin, is concerned about the implications of generative AI on campus:
“You may believe that there is [sic] ethical ways for AI to be used,” says Hoy. “That is not the way that students are using it right now.”
Maxine Poe-Jensen, a student at the University of Maryland, is cautiously optimistic about AI use cases:
“I think it depends on how you’re using it,” says Poe-Jensen. “I mean, I definitely use it for proofreading, grammar, when I’m citing sources. ‘How do I do MLA versus Chicago?’”
