Good afternoon, North Bay!

It may well have been a mistake when the boards of the Cassellholme and Castle Arms were given different members back in 2022, but undoing it is proving to be quite divisive.

Tenants of Castle Arms flocked to the council chamber last night fearful that an attempt to reassert control over their building is a prelude to selling it or raising rents, something councillors denied.

In other news, an accident that led to a mother and her son being injured at Smokes N' Spurrs event is quite the embarrassment for organizers, who are defending their safety precautions.

We also were able to talk to the mother, who gave us a first-hand account of what happened.

Enjoy, and we will see you back in your inbox on Friday.
