Kindergarten Popsicles on the Playground

An opportunity for kindergarten families and students to meet their teachers and one another. PTA will provide popsicles for all.

A great time for all students to come on back and reconnect with friends, Principal Pietzman and Roadie. The PTA will have giveaways, sign up for programs and clubs and we have invited Hershey's Ice Cream Truck to join us. Scoops for purchase.

We're excited to invite all new GBE families to a self-guided tour of our school! This is a fantastic opportunity to explore our school at your own pace and get familiar with our facilities before the school year officially begins. We look forward to welcoming you!

GBE will transition from a part-time Family Liaison to a full-time Family Liaison starting in August. We are thrilled for this full-time position as we continue to strengthen family and school connections at GBE! We want thank Ms. Wafika Albani for all her service over the last four years at GBE. She joined us in 2021 and provided so much support for our families. Over the years, she has built strong relationships and dedicated her time being available for any questions from our families and staff. Ms. Albani launched our Family Resource Center, so families had resources readily available. Also, she provided in-person and virtual family workshops. Thank you, Ms. Albani, for all you’ve done!

Welcome, Ms. Daniela Kwon
We are excited to announce that Daniela Kwon will be our full-time Family Liaison starting in August! Ms. Kwon recently served as a Community Liaison for FCPS at the Dunn Loring and Herndon Registration Center. She has also served as an instructional assistant for the Korean Early Literacy Program and is a classical and jazz trained pianist! Ms. Kwon is also a GBE parent! Two of her children attend Chantilly High School and her youngest child is at GBE. All of her children attended GBE, and she is invested in our incredible school community! Ms. Kwon will attend our Back-to-School events in August and she looks forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting new families! Welcome to GBE, Ms. Kwon!
