Dear TLES Families,
The last day of school is inching closer and summer is in the air! This past week at TLES has been filled with so much excitement, celebration and family events! Earlier this week we celebrated the end of the school with our annual PreK Family Breakfast. This is always a special time for our families and teachers to get together and celebrate the school year! Throughout this week we have had various grade levels' Portrait of a Graduate Presentations of Learning (POGPOL). Students have been sharing with parents and staff members how they have been communicators, collaborators and/or goal-directed and resilient individuals through many of their work samples and and individual self-reflections. We are absolutely in awe of the growth our students have made and the work our teachers have accomplished this year!
This week also brought about our annual Field Day. Thanks to Mrs. Rieger and Ms. Germain, students enjoyed an amazing Timberlympics-filled day full of team-building activities, water activities and memories that will last a lifetime! Thank you to all of our parent volunteers! We could not have put on this massive event without your help!
This week we also had our Spring Chorus Concert. We were able to enjoy our amazing TLES Chorus three times this week - first for our primary grades' assembly, next at our upper grades' assembly and finally yesterday evening with our families. The TLES Chorus continues to shine both at TLES and stand out amongst other schools as they are recent recipients of numerous awards!
Next week we have even more awesome events to look forward to! We will continue to have additional grade levels' Presentations of Learning, end of year parties and our 6th Grade will have the following: our annual Staff vs. 6th Grade Volleyball Game, grade level lunch out at El Tio, end-of-year party and finally our promotion ceremony. We have so much to look forward to and so much to be thankful for with these joyous events!
