Dear Roadrunner Families,

What an incredibly fun, busy and memorable week it has been as we wrapped up our final full week of school! We're truly ending the year with a bang, celebrating our students' hard work and looking forward to exciting transitions.

One of the highlights of the week was our fantastic Career Day on Monday! It was a huge success, with a wide variety of professionals sharing their experiences and inspiring our students about future possibilities. Our Roadrunners were absolutely buzzing with excitement and curiosity as they learned about different careers.

We also had great sunny day for Field Day, where our students had an absolute blast participating in various outdoor activities and enjoying some well-deserved fun in the sun. The laughter and camaraderie were contagious! A big thank you to Ms. Brown for all of her planning and work making it such a big success.

Our Spirit Week brought so much energy and creativity to the school! We loved seeing everyone participate in themes like Beach Day, Hat Day, Career Day, and of course, showing their ultimate Roadrunner pride on Spirit Day today.

A special shout-out to our 6th graders who had a week filled with memorable events as they prepare for their next chapter! Their NEON party for the 6th grade send-off was a vibrant celebration, and the 6th grade vs. staff kickball game was a spirited and fun competition that everyone enjoyed. We look forward to continuing to celebrate our 6th graders with theirPromotion Ceremony on Monday, June 9th, at 9:30 AM. We can't wait to celebrate their achievements!

A final reminder that Wednesday, June 11th, is the last day of school, and it will be a 1:15 PM early dismissal.

Please also see the important notes below regarding medication pick-up, lost and found items, and returning library books before the end of the year.

We are so grateful for your continued partnership and support throughout this school year. We wish you all a wonderful summer!

Sincerely,

Christie Yarn, Principal
Alison Butler, Assistant Principal

6th Grade

Our 6th graders absolutely glowed at their NEON party for the 6th grade send-off! What a vibrant way to celebrate their time at Little Run! Thanks to all the volunteers for their amazing support!

Lost & Found - Last Call

Just a reminder that all jackets, sweatshirts, water bottles, lunchboxes, etc., that are left at school at 1:15 PM on Wednesday, June 11th, will be bagged up and donated.

If you are missing something, please check the lost and found by the end of the school day on June 11th!

Lost&Found

Library

Calling all Library Books!

At this time we still have many books that need to be returned.

Please encourage your children to start searching for and turning in books.

Medication

Medication Pick Up

The school health room is reminding parents and guardians that all medication stored in the health room must be picked up no later than the student dismissal time on the last day of school:  June 11th by 1:15 PM.

Medication left in the health room after that time will be destroyed. It is school policy that medications must be picked up by the parent or guardian. Medication cannot be sent home with your elementary student.

If your student will be enrolled in a summer program sponsored by Fairfax County Public Schools, the existing medication authorization form(s) may be used for the summer program, but you will need to pick up the medication on the last day of school and deliver the medication and completed forms to the summer learning site on the first day of the summer program. Please let the health room know if you would like a copy of the form(s).
