Principal's Message
What a week it's been! We successfully graduated 746 incredible students earlier this week. Congratulations to the Class of 2025!
I also want to congratulate our HS Theatre Department who walked away with six wins at this week's Cappies Gala, including Best Play. Lake Braddock is the only school in the 25-year history of the Cappies to have three consecutive Best Play wins. Well done, LBT, well done.
This marks our final newsletter for the 2024-25 school year. A huge thank you to our dedicated staff and to all of our amazing families. We truly appreciate the opportunity to partner with you throughout the year.
We'll kick off the 2025-26 school year on August 19, and you can expect to start receiving information from us in late July.
Have a wonderful summer!
Go Bruins!

The Health Room is reminding parents and guardians that all medication stored in the health room must be picked up by 10am on Wednesday, June 11. Medication left in the health room after that time will be destroyed. Medication cannot be sent home with your student unless your student is authorized to self-carry their medication. With parent/guardian permission, a high school student may transport over-the-counter medications. If your student will attend a summer program sponsored by FCPS, the existing medication form(s) may be used for the summer program. Medication forms for next school year can be found online. Required Immunizations for Rising 7th and 12th Graders
Additional immunizations are required for students entering 7th and 12th grades:
- All students entering 7th grade are required to receive one dose of each of the following immunizations before the beginning of school: Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis booster (Tdap), Meningococcal vaccine (MenACWY), and Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine.
- To meet the Tdap requirement, the vaccination must be administered at age seven or older.
- To meet the MenACWY requirement, the vaccination must be administered at age 10 or older.
- As a parent/guardian, you may decide not to have your child receive the HPV vaccination. If that is the case, the school does not require documentation.
- All students entering 12th grade are to receive one dose of Meningococcal vaccine (MenACWY) before the beginning of school.
- To meet the MenACWY 12th grade requirement, the vaccination must be administered at age 16 or older.
Please consider getting your child’s immunizations early so that they can attend school in the fall. Summer is a busy time for families and health care providers. As long as your child meets the age requirements listed above, they can be immunized at any time.
Local immunization clinics and additional resources are available on the FCPS Immunization Resources webpage and from the Fairfax County Health Department.
